The challenger will be the winner of the 2017 Louis Vuitton Cup and the defender is Oracle Team USA, the winning team of the 2013 America’s Cup.

The provisional schedule starts with the first match that will commence May 26. The first half of the qualifier round will end on June 5. The challengers achieving the top four positions will advance to the next phase of the round known as the Challenger Playoffs, which will be played between June 7 and June 12. A total of nine matches will be played in this phase for determining the Challenger, who will eventually compete with the Oracle Team USA in the final leg. The final leg would be a best-of-13 tournament, and would be played from June 17 to 27.
All of the races mentioned above will be held during the afternoon. This means that visitors will have ample time to explore this gorgeous island territory. The nightlife of Bermuda is quite exciting to say the least with its many nightclubs and a variety of free events open to the public. Every Wednesday of about May through September for example, the locals organize a festive celebration called Harbor Nights in the capital city of Hamilton. During this weekly event, several major streets of the city including the entire Front Street are closed down from traffic and come alive with lights, music, dance, vendors selling local art and craft, snacks, knick knacks etc.
